500 acres of Appalachian forest. RV sites, tent grounds, and a handcrafted cabin — all without cell service or streetlights. Just you and the woods.
Baker's Run sits on former timberland deep in Braxton County, where the only notifications you'll get are birdsong and wind through the pines. We built this place for people who camp to disconnect — not to trade one screen for another.
Every site is backed by forest. Every morning begins with coffee on your porch or beside your fire ring. There are no shared walls, no thin barriers, no rush. Just 500 acres that belong to you while you're here.
12 fully serviced sites with 50-amp power, water, and sewer hookups. Each site is a quarter-acre minimum, shaded by mature oak and pine. Pull-through and back-in options available.
Three designated tent areas ranging from intimate clearings to open meadow sites. Each includes a fire pit, bear-proof storage, and access to potable water and restroom facilities.
A hand-built log cabin perched on a ridge overlooking the property. Two bedrooms, a wood stove, and a wraparound deck. No TV. No thermostat. Just firelight and starlight.
Every site includes a stone fire ring. Bring your own firewood or pick some up at the store in town.
Heated and cooled restroom facilities with hot showers, maintained daily by our on-site team.
Direct access to 15+ miles of unmaintained hiking and biking trails through private timberland.
Full 50-amp service on every RV site. Water, sewer, and level pads for rigs up to 45 feet.
Zero light pollution. The Milky Way is visible from every site between April and October.
A resident host is on property during peak season for check-in, firewood, and local recommendations.
Pumped well water available at every tent and RV site. No treatment chemicals, just mountain spring taste.
Intentionally off-grid. This is the point. Leave the notifications behind and actually relax.
Baker's Run sits at the crossroads of some of West Virginia's most underrated outdoor recreation. Within an hour's drive you can float the Tygart Valley River, hike the Allegheny Front, or explore the ghost towns of the Lost State.
30 minutes — lake swimming, fishing, and 20 miles of marked trails.
45 minutes — old-growth hemlock forest with rare wildflowers and creek-side hiking.
35 minutes — river tubing, whitewater rafting, and downtown shops and restaurants.
"We've been to campgrounds all over the Appalachians. This is the first place where my phone actually died and nobody complained about it. The cabin is spectacular — we sat on the deck for three nights straight just watching the stars."
"Came with our 38-foot fifth wheel. The pad was perfectly level, the hookup was solid, and we had zero neighbors within sight. Best RV site we've had in five years of full-timing. Already booked for next spring."
"Took my daughter for her first real camping trip — no state park crowds, no loud music, just us and the woods. She fell asleep to owl calls and woke up to deer at the water spigot. This place changed how she thinks about the outdoors."
